There are several links on this page to books and websites where you can learn more about 3D printing. If you need some help with a project you can visit the Baldwin Library and ask for assistance. Or, send an email to cdaniels@abac.edu and we'll get back to you.


General information:

  • Currently, we are not charging for 3D prints, but this may change in the future.
  • Each project can be printed in one color filament, ask if a particular color is available.
  • Our plastic material is PLA (Polylactic Acid - https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Polylactic_acid).
  • Build volume of our MakerBot Replicator is 25.2 L x 19.9 W x 15.0 H cm (9.9 L x 7.8 W x 5.9 H in)

MakerBot Desktop Print Program Download

MakerBot Desktop

This is the software used to print to our 3D printer. The software is free to download and allows you to see your final project before printing. In this program, you can calculate an estimate of how much time each print project will take.  Feel free to download it on your personal computer to view your project before coming to the Baldwin Library to print.
